Sasha and Andrew’s engagement session at the Scarborough Bluffs.

Sasha and Andrew met through mutual friends at at party on September 14th, 2013. Sasha recently moved to Ottawa and was in the process of establishing her life in a new city. She was invited to this party through a friend she met in university. Sasha is a bit of an introvert and was debating attending this party at all,  she mustered up the courage and went, Andrew is forever grateful that she did!

On December 3rd, 2016 Andrew proposed to Sasha. For months he meticulously planned how he was going to ask Sasha for her hand in marriage. After receiving Sasha’s fathers blessing, Andrew planned a whole day of activities.

To end a great day, Andrew took Sasha out for a beautiful dinner, once this was done they headed towards the market to their next destination. As they were walking, Andrew steered Sasha towards the locks beside Parliament. After a lengthy explanation of how the locks work Andrew got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

After almost 15 minutes of crying Sasha said Yes! From there they went on to there final destination, an engagement party with their family and friends. Andrew surprised  Sasha, yet again, by inviting her family to come down from Toronto to celebrate this occasion. It was a wonderful day and a beautiful start to their forever together.

They will be married September 2, 2017. We truly cannot wait for what will be an amazing wedding day!

McMaster University engagement session! We had so much fun shooting this one. Cayla and Mackenzie have a great energy about them, and they perfectly compliment one another. Here is their love story:

Mackenzie and Cayla were fortunate enough to meet after many years of spying each other out. Friends of friends, Cayla made the first move when she spotted Mackenzie walking alone into a lecture and bravely invited him to sit with her: Medieval Drama, riveting stuff.

A love story among love stories. Immediately inseparable, they became study buddies, dance partners and best friends. 5 years later they became engaged. Mackenzie was first struck, and remains drawn to Cayla‘s energetic presence, kindness and positivity and Cayla was smitten by Mackenzie’s aloof attitude and witty sophomoric sense of humour.

They will be married May 26, 2018

Christina and Chris’ e-session on main street in Unionville!

We asked Christina and Chris to tell us a little about their relationship and the proposal.

-We met online in October 2015 and our very first date was at Starbucks which is why this was so important to capture in our engagement shoot.
-Although I know I was nervous, Chris had this calming effect and made me feel very at ease –  I just kept talking about anything and everything that came to mind: my job, my family, and my new eyeliner wing that I had just gotten done
-I know that he was nervous too and glad that I kept talking.
-Eventually I had to leave because I had an appointment but we literally shook hands and agreed to a second date to which he wore dress pants—who does that??? It was the funniest and cutest thing.
-After that coffee and handshake our fates were sealed and we were inseparable. We knew shortly after that we wanted to get married and spend our lives together.
-We got engaged on November 27, 2016 under our first Christmas tree
– It was cold and wet and I was pretty sure he was going to proposal all weekend because he was acting weird
-We went to a tree farm near Whitby and after what seemed like forever trying to find the perfect tree, I turned around to grab the saw and there he was down on 1 knee.
-It happened so fast and although I kind of expected it, nothing can prepare you for the moment it actually happens.
-We were both cold and wet but the moment was perfect and we kept a piece of the tree to remember our first little Christmas tree.
-Also the ring was so beautiful he completely out did himself.
